Week Twelve* Vocal cords begin to form.
* Those precious eyes begin to move closer together.
* Ears shift to their normal place on the side of the head
* Intestines move farther in to your child's body
* His or her liver begins to function.
* The pancreas begins to produce insulin.
* Guess what? Your baby's average size is now at a whopping length: 2.13 inches (5.4cm) and weight: 0.49 ounce (14gm)
I seem to be extra emotional at the moment. Nothing in particular is the problem, though I know it's not been the easiest of months, I think it's just the way things are sometimes.
Yesterday I got my Bounty pack. I like this, it gives a nice little book that is more about baby than the mother and comes with vouchers and freebies. I love the free things that come with being pregnant.
I keep thinking about how much baby was moving when we saw Pooh on the screen on Monday. It reminded me of how fidgety Matthew was in his scan.
So sitting talking to bf last night, I just came out with "I really think this baby is a boy." He said he had the same feeling. My best friend thinks it's a boy too, as does a couple of readers who have commented or emailed me.
So what I have in mind of doing, beings I am away next week, is to create a baby poll for my readers to fill in while I am away. I can have an exciting thing to read when I get back. That will probably be done sometime over the weekend.
I wasn't going to mention names for a while but I am in the mood to today. If anyone remembers, Pooh was originally named "Baby S" as we had the letter S for both names.
(Ingenious thinking hey?!)
For a girl we have Sophie in mind. Sophie Kate T****R if I have my way although we haven't thought of middle names properly.
Or for a little boy, Sam.
SAM not SAMUEL, just SAM!
Sam Christopher T****R. (again that's my choice of middle name haha Matthew has his middle name related to his father - poor kid - and I would like the same if I have another boy)
We are more set on the boys name again as it's how we are thinking most. Yet anything can change in 6 months.
Oh well, all we can do is wait. x
