It's official!
Second and subsequent pregnancies are worse than a first for pregnancy niggles!
I have been reading up and it's not just that I am being a whiny pregnant woman but in second pregnancies and beyond things do tend to hurt more apparently.
I find I get a lot of lower belly pain if I walk for more than 10 minutes at a time and the weekly shop appears to be the most I can manage in one go as of the last 3 weeks.
They call it Round Ligament Pain and like everything else, is obviously worst in the final trimester as your body reaches epic stretch proportions.
Ouch!!!!
I openly admit, I didn't expect a second pregnancy to be harder.
I assumed (wrongly) that my body - having gone through it all before - would be that little more pliable and stretchy and probably be better equipped for a second child.
However, seeings that it's been 5 years since I was last pregnant, maybe there is a fine line when the gap between better and fully healed becomes too long.
Other than that all appears to be going well. I know I seem to have a lot of complaints all of a sudden but that is partially down to impatience as I wait for the little person to join us. I love being pregnant overall.
I can even put up with the insomnia and the frequent trips to the loo all night that I am having as I keep telling myself it's practice for the night feeds.
Tomorrow I get to do a little shopping for myself. It's my birthday next week so bf and I are having a nice meal out tomorrow night. I want a nice new dressy top to wear and ideally something that would be used well after pregnancy for a while and have found the following in a chain store. I think it would be perfect for my purposes.
I love the high waist design as it would be in a good place to accentuate a bump but hide all the excess flab after birth. Also, being a longer length allows for bump to keep fully covered.
It should get me through the last few weeks, over christmas and a good few months beyond. But then having a nice dressy top, I might need nice new trousers and boots just to finish off the look! :)
I am looking forward to a night out and feel that this will be the last time during my pregnancy I will be doing so. I am looking forward to dressing up and everything and giving myself a mini makeover. It will be good to have that girly aspect of it. :)
I am trying to get as many jobs done as possible in the next week or two so I can have a rest time before little person puts in an appearance. This does mean I am trying to clean the house from top to bottom.
