
Doing It Sensibly

Today is day 1 of my post pregnancy diet.
I want to get back into my old jeans. I tried them on the other day and I had a perfect fit on the legs and bum but I was about 2 inches from doing up the waist. Fair enough though it was only about 5 days after giving birth and it takes time for the uterus to shrink to it's original size.
I am NOT following any set plan.
I lost weight my own way before and I am taking notice of what and how much I eat as of today. Still, I am not going to try and overdo it so I won't even begin to think of exercise plans until after christmas. I'm happy to walk here and there and everywhere but I know my body still needs time to recover before I put too much pressure on it. But there is never any harm in healthy eating or watching portion sizes. I will probably start a new diary for my weight loss quest in the new year, but for now it's about keeping healthy and getting into better habits again rather than losing alot of weight.
I did find I was constantly snacking in pregnancy. I didn't get on well with large meals and I seemed to eat all day every day. I need to get out of that habit.
I have faith in myself as I have done it before and I have the drive and determination to succeed. Not just for myself but for my family.
