Little Things Like Guessing The Gender
27 May 2008 - 10:49 a.m.

I found this little site where they claim to guess the gender of your baby using a chinese method.

I've done a few of these but this is the ONLY site I have found that has actually suggested Matthew would have been a boy. The rest all got them wrong.

So I suppose everyone is wondering what the result came out as.

Well, I'll tell you at the end. ;)

I am now in week 17 and today for the first time in a while I weighed myself. I discovered I have put on 2lb since I was around 7 weeks. (The other 12lb I've put on since I met bf, I will put down to contentment.) I am not in the slightest bothered about pregnancy weight. It is inevitable and I can go another few months without a worry of dieting. Even afterwards I concentrate on my baby more than anything. Being happy is way more important than a scale.

So going on inside of me this week is as follows:

Week Seventeen

Your baby weighs about 4.97 ounces (140gm) and is 5.12 inches (13cm) long.

He or she has a much more normal "human" appearance now.

Pads are forming on his tiny fingertips and toes.

The eyes are looking forward now, but they are still firmly closed.

The umbilical cord is growing thicker and stronger and continues to rush blood and nutrients to your growing baby.

If your child is male the prostate begins to develop.

So, chinese gender prediction thing tells me to expect a :

Photobucket

This comes as no surprise although baby may be a little confused if she is born female. I call bump "little man" "little boy" "he" and "him" constantly so the kid could grow up with gender issues for many years of "his" life.

ALL the other sites I went on said I was expecting my second Photobucket so there could be some truth in it this time round.
