Jabs and Early Weaning

29 January 2009 9:58 a.m.

James had his 3 month jabs on Tuesday. The poor little mite wasn't too happy when he was awoken from his sleep with a needle in the leg. Then the other. He seemed more fed up that he'd been woken up than pricked so overall he did really well.

Luckily he has had no side effects and has not been too bad at all since.

I have started James on a little food each lunchtime. When I had Matthew it was the crossover period between feeding a baby from 3 months which was the norm until mid January 2004 and going onto the now recommended 6 months. I was advised to make up my own mind on if I thought Matthew was ready for food. James seems to have been ready for a little while though and is enjoying his little first tastes. He only has a couple of spoonfulls around lunchtime accompanying a bottle but he is very happy with his food.

So I am very pleased with him. It will be interesting to see how much he weighs next week when I take him to get weighed.
