To my Baby

Dearest little one,

It's just mummy here sending you a little message.

I really feel quite ready and would very much like you to come and meet your family very soon. There's me, your daddy and of course your big brother waiting for you to come and join us. That's not to mention all the nanny's and grandads who are waiting to make a big fuss of you too.

There's no hurry at all so take all the time you need in there. I don't want you to feel "evicted" and want you to arrive as fit and healthy as possible. That's all any mummy wishes for her baby. And please don't think that mummy has had enough of being pregnant. Mummy really has enjoyed having you on board and taking care of you for the last 37 and a bit weeks. Yet, I, more than anyone can't wait to have you here all snuggled up in my arms.

I can't wait to see you and your little face that will somehow look familiar though we've met. To hold your little hands and see your tiny fingers wrap around mine.

I also can't wait to finally give you a real name.

I do apologise that you don't actually have a set name yet, mummy is a little indecisive to say the least and would find it much easier if she could see you first. It would be so much easier to see which of my shortlisted names would suit you most once I see how you look. It's a name you are going to have to live with and mummy would like it to be as special as you are and for it to be something that reflects you. Mummy knows her favourite but would have to see what daddy thinks first of course.

So this was just my little message of you are welcome to join us anytime and that mummy has loved our little journey together. She just would like to soon arrive at the final destination.

Take care, little one, I'm wishing you a safe and exciting final stage of this journey and I will be with you every step of the way, waiting for you at the other end (quite literally!)

Lots of love,

Mummy.
